Welcome to your newsletter for week ending July 3rd
Sports Day has marked the end of the week brilliantly today- it was wonderful to see our children making the most of the local Cadbury Fields and enjoying the events in the sunshine. We hope families found the different format better- please let us know when we send out this term’s Parent/ Carer Survey next week.
Two weeks to go before the end of term and things are getting busier than ever. We have trips, visits, concerts and Year 6 Leavers’ celebrations to fit in- keep an eye on the calendar!
The weather is looking like it is warming up again- please ensure children have water bottles, sun hats and have sun screen applied before they come to school. We are happy for children to have hand-held fans if you’d like this- please can we just say that the children are responsible for looking after them- thankyou.

A Fond Farewell...
At this point in the school year, we are preparing to say goodbye to some of our staff who are moving on to new schools and adventures. This week we said thank you to Miss Plominska, Miss Kindon, Mr Mannion and Mrs Gohil.
Miss Plominska and Miss Kindon have been in Reception classes, covering for two teachers on maternity leave (Mrs Reddish and Mrs Taylor are back in the last week of term). Mr Mannion has been teaching in Year 1 after a sudden and unexpected staffing change.
Mrs Gohil is moving on to a new school after a considerable time at the then Infant School and subsequent BVP. Over the 15 years as a former Early Year Lead and class teacher, she has seen hundreds of children and families come through her classroom doors and she leaves a lasting legacy.
Dorota, Amy, Lewis and Jasjit, we wish you all the very best as you move on to pastures new!
Sports Day
A huge thank you to all of our children, families and PTA team for making this year's Sports Day such a wonderful event. It was fantastic to see everyone enjoying the day, cheering each other on and showing excellent determination and sportsmanship.
Parking Reminder
We kindly ask all parents and carers to park with consideration during drop-off and pick-up times.
Please do not park across or block residents' driveways, even for a few minutes, as this can prevent access to their homes and cause unnecessary inconvenience.
We appreciate that parking can be busy at these times, but your support in helping us be good neighbours is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your cooperation.
Recently, our children decorated pebble stones using Posca pens and Acrylic paint markers . We then placed the stones under a tree to create a Rockery.

In September we are beginning a project called Outright, linked to UNICEF.
OutRight is UNICEF UK’s advocacy campaign for children which involves an exciting campaign journey, learning about children’s rights and how to take action. Next year, through OutRight, we’ll be learning about the importance of education, and safe learning spaces, and how they help children realise their rights around the world. The 26-27 theme is International Aid – look out or more news about this at the start of the next academic year.
Next week we will be on WEEK 2 of the menu.
You can pre-book meals in advance on Arbor till the end of the academic year (Arbor>> Meals>> Meal Choices Available>> Select Meal Choice)
Reminder: Even if your child is a packed Lunch, parents will need to book that lunch option on Arbor!

We know that many of you (parents) will be wanting to watch the England World Cup game on Sunday night/ Monday morning. We would like all children in school at the usual time please- if the results are positive(!) we will ensure that the highlights can be watched at some point in school on Monday, for those children that are interested.
We hope you all have a good weekend. Take care and see you on Monday for the penultimate week of the term and the school year!
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children’s best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm. If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information, and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
