Bourn View Partnership Group activities get underway!
Today we took our first group of Children to Bourn View Care Home. It was such a pleasure to accompany the children who engaged confidently and respectfully with the residents, who were over-the-moon to have the company of 12 of children this afternoon. We are incredibly proud of the kindness our children showed the ladies and gentlemen that joined them and it was simply wonderful to watch our children (representing Yr1-Yr6) chatting away so wonderfully.
On Tuesday, we have our first 'hosting' event where residents will visit BVP.
Since talking about this initiative with children, more have come forward saying they'd like to be part of the Partnership Group. If this is the case, please email Mrs Cooper via [email protected]

To mark her eighth birthday on March 3rd, Amelia is hoping to break the record for the most birthday cards received in the UK, by hitting the 8,000 cards mark.

NSPCC Number Day - Friday 6th February
We are excited to announce that we will once again be celebrating NSPCC Number Day on Friday 6th February. On this day, children may come to school dressed as a number - whether it's a number on a football kit, a Numberblocks character or a crazy costume - we would love to see which numbers you choose! There will also be several special events during the day. Our KS2 children will have the opportunity to take part in the NSPPC Rocks TTRS competition in school, with the chance of prizes to be won. And our Reception and KS1 children will have some fun Numbots-themed activities to do during the day.
If children prefer to come in school uniform as usual, or a combination of uniform and something representing a number, that's absolutely fine.

Young Voices: Rescheduled date, Friday 27th February
We are delighted to say Young Voices have rescheduled the event to Friday February 27th 2026! The details of the event will remain the same as before - start time, collection from BVP etc.
If you are unable to attend the revised date, we kindly ask that you follow the below procedure:
Parents please wait for further instructions before contacting the YV office regarding refunds. Any calls received by the YV office will be redirected back to the school, as all communication must be managed through the school.
Once all schools have been reallocated, we will provide further information outlining how affected parents can claim a refund.
Please also note that e-tickets for the original concert date have been removed from the AXS app. New e-tickets for the rescheduled date will appear in due course.
Also, it has been brought to our attention that Young Voices sent parents the rescheduled date as 26th Feb - IGNORE THIS.
We are going on Friday February 27th as we have our governor's meeting on the 26th.
Please ignore any comms from Young Voices relating to the 26th date and do not hesitate to contact the office if you are unsure about anything.
Thank you for your understanding and we hope you can make the new date!

Next week we will be on WEEK 2.
You can pre-book meals in advance on Arbor till the end of the academic year (Arbor>> Meals>> Meal Choices Available>> Select Meal Choice)
Reminder: Even if your child is a packed Lunch, parents will need to book that lunch option on Arbor!
And finally...
We had our Parent Voice meeting of the half term this week and we discussed a range of topics. Remember these are opportunities to talk to Mrs Cooper about the way we do things in school and offer feedback. The next meeting is Thursday 19th March (virtual) 6.00pm to 7.00pm. The minutes of most meetings can be found here. You can also see the summary of the latest Parent/ Carer Survey.
We hope you all have a good weekend and are able to enjoy time with family and friends. Take care all and see you on Monday.
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children’s best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm. If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information, and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
