Welcome to your newsletter for week ending December 19th
I'm keeping this bit short and sweet today folks-it's been a busy end to the term with lots of celebrations and an amazing whole school assembly where all our children, staff and volunteers enjoyed as festive sing-a-long. It was magical to see the whole school together for the last day.
As we head into the holidays please take some time to complete the parent carer survey- as we always say, using the feedback we get back from families is one of the best ways we can consistently improve school and the educational experience for all our children and our wider school community. The link for the survey is Parent and Carer Questionnaire Autumn 2025 – Fill in form
You will notice that we have Parents' Evening in the second week of term- bookings for this open on January 5th at 3pm.
Thankyou for the 43(!) positive responses to the Bourn View Care Home form- originally we were wanting to take a regular group of 12 but we need a little more time to work out plans- we will be in touch shortly with next steps.

Whole School Service
Today we had the whole school, Reception - Year 6 in the George Hall for a lovely internal carol service including some of our favourites; Jingle Bell Rock, Rudolf the Red nose Reindeer and ending with a spectacular rendition of the Twelve Days of Christmas- including all dance moves of course!

KS1 & KS2 Carol Services
On Monday and Thursday morning we had our KS1 and KS2 Carol services for families to attend. The children performed absolutely brilliantly- a special well done to the Choir and Hand Bell group, along with the wonderful, soloists and narrators who retold the Christmas story so beautifully.

Year 3/4 Recorder Performance
On Wednesday afternoon, years 3 & 4 were treated to a recorder concert.
The KS2 recorder clubs showcased their talents and recently acquired skills in a short performance. This was the first performance for most of the children in the year 3 recorder groups, and it was a great success! The year 4 recorder group demonstrated their passion to keeping playing recorder, and how much they have progressed. The concert also included a soloist!
A huge well done to all involved! Looking forward to the Spring concert already!

Before/ After School Clubs
All families should have received an email from BVP with all booking information on our before and afterschool clubs in the Spring Term. If you are unable to book a club via Arbor, this usually indicates that the club is full- you can email [email protected] over the Christmas break to be added to our waiting lists.
Other clubs that have direct forms, emails or booking links will be done directly with the provider and will not appear on Arbor.
If you haven't viewed our booking form you can click here.

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children’s best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm. If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information, and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
