At Bournville Village Primary School we have high expectations of our pupils and we work hard to ensure that they achieve during their time with us. In all year groups, our pupils have access to a varied and balanced curriculum and we are proud of their achievements and progress across all subjects.
SATS (Standard Assessment Tests) tests are given at the end of Year 2 and Year 6. They are government set, compulsory assessments used to show your child’s attainment and progress compared with other children nationally.
SATs take place in May and cover the three core subjects: English, mathematics and a sample of schools nationally are instructed to complete science tests. The papers are sent away to be marked, with results being available in July. As a school, we then receive data in the Autumn term telling us how we have performed in comparison to other primary schools.
